I seemed to blow through the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs VERY quickly. It seemed like I replaced each bulb every 3-6 months. I tried all their different gimmicks - cheap ones, expensive ones, long lasting, etc. I bought these Hella bulbs because they were a little less expensive. I can't remember when the last time was that I replaced a Hella. Overall, I'm very happy - they seem to last longer and are just as bright.

This is the first bulb I have found that matches the OEM bulbs. I've only had it installed a couple days but brightness matches the other bulbs and the price beats the heck out of the $14.95 all the local parts stores want for any of the Sylvania bulbs. I'm using them in a 2006 New Beetle so I am sure I will be ordering one every few months.
